Apples and Grapes

We tried some more new foods. Raelyn loved the grapes. She munched away on those with enthusiasm. The apples were not so successful. She is not quite ready for those yet. She munched on the same little piece for a few mins and choked on it for a second a few times. Eventually I had to take it back out of her mouth. She didn't like that because I think she liked the flavor even if she couldn't actually eat it. When I was able to get the little piece back out it was pretty much the same size as when it went it. That was very unusual because she is a very determined muncher. Raelyn does like applesauce though.

Green Beans

Today Raelyn ate some of the homemade green beans from Debi B. She loved them! I think part of it was because she actually got to chew them a little bit. It seems like she is already tired of the pureed stuff and wants to be able to munch. Which is a bummer because the pureed stuff is so much easier to make. Oh well. Thanks for the baby food Debi. Every time Raelyn finished her bite of green bean she demanded more. :)

3 meals a day

Raelyn is going to 3 meals a day with real food while still drinking her normal amount of milk. Yikes! She is just getting so big and active we can't keep up.

Green beans!

Raelyn ate green beans for the first time today and she loved them. She stared at the spoon and opened her mouth waiting as soon as she swallowed the bite before. I had to get her seconds. She is so cute.

Second feeding

This feeding went better. No yucky faces this time and she actually managed to keep quite a bit in her mouth to swallow. Fun Fun! Most of the time I think she just wanted to suck on the spoon. :)

Raelyn's first solid foods

Here is Raelyn's first big girl meal. She made a few yucky faces with the first few bites and then seemed excited for the food and spoon. Didn't eat much but it was a good start. The other pics we took were blurry so we will try to get more with tomorrows meal.
